Massage Policies

Procedures

I offer clothed blended massage on an 8x8 mat situated on the floor. I suggest you wear comfortable clothing much like one would wear to work out as there is stretching and position changes involved. I use my hands, elbows, forearm, and feet. As well as handheld massage tools. On occasion I may recommend implements and light oil on bare skin. This will be discussed, and we will proceed only if all parties enthusiastically agree.

Allergy Warning

My massage studio is out of my home. I have 1 dog and 1 cat. If you have allergies to pets, please take precautions or let me know so we can arrange an outcall instead.

Cancelation and Refund Policy

If you wake up with cold or flu symptoms or have a fever and need to cancel the day of your appointment but let me know as soon as possible. You will be unable to reschedule your massage for 2 weeks after any illness. If you need to miss your appointment for any other reason. Please call as soon as possible so I can try to reschedule the time from my waitlist. Deposits are non-refundable. Appointments paid for in full will be used for future appointments. No refunds will be issued. If for any reason you are not satisfied, please contact me, and we will promptly address your concerns so that you may continue to be a satisfied client.

Late Arrivals Policy

I suggest clients arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your appointment time. This allows time to complete paperwork and begin on time. If you are late, your massage time may be shortened to comply with the schedule. The full amount for the service is still due.

New Clients

Please arrive 10 - 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to complete paperwork, communicate your needs with me and begin your session on time.

 

Returning Clients

For returning clients, please plan to arrive 5 - 10 minutes early to allow for a short follow-up form and communicate your needs with me. If you arrive late, the session will still end on time and full payment will be expected.

Cleanliness

I do not have public showers, please bathe prior to your scheduled appointment. Avoid wearing strong perfumes or cologne.

Appreciation

Tips are accepted and can be added to a credit card, or given in cash.

​

Conversation It is your choice to talk during your session or remain quiet. I will follow your lead and mirror your decision. There are times that I may need to speak to you to have you reposition, request feedback on pressure, or explain a finding.

​

Age Requirements

Children 17 and under who wish to receive a massage must have parental consent and a parent/guardian must sign the intake form. Children 16 and under must have a parent present during the massage appointment in the treatment room.

Cell Phones

For the consideration of all involved and to maintain a relaxing atmosphere, cell phones must be set to silent, and all calls must be taken outside.

Client Responsibility

Clients are responsible for understanding and adhering to this comprehensive policy, including the requirement to book an appointment in full or with a non-refundable deposit.

I am committed to implementing this policy with professionalism and empathy. We will make every effort to assist clients in rescheduling their appointments, addressing concerns, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience.

Appointment Reminder Texts and Emails

If you signed up for a text or email appointment reminder, you may be given the option to confirm your appointment when you receive the reminder; however, even if you do not press confirm you are still booked for your appointment. Not confirming your appointment does not cancel your appointment. The text and email reminders should not be your primary means of remembering your scheduled appointment. I do not guarantee delivery of these reminders and I am not responsible should you forget your appointment, mix up the time, or arrive late for any reason.

Inappropriate Behavior Policy

Massage therapy is for relaxation and therapeutic purposes only. There is absolutely no sexual component to massage whatsoever. Any insinuation, joke, gesture, conversation, or request otherwise will result in immediate termination of your session and a refusal of all services in the future. You will be charged the full-service fee regardless of the length of your session. Depending on the behavior exhibited we may also file a report with the local authorities if necessary. Treat your therapist with respect and dignity and you will be treated the same in return.

Review and Retention

I reserve the right to review and revise this policy as needed to maintain fairness and consistency in my service delivery. I highly value your patronage and I am dedicated to providing you with the highest level of care. I appreciate your understanding of my Last-Minute Cancellation / No-Show Policy, and Prepayment/Deposit Policy.
